Thermage (Thermacool) tightens sagging skin.
I have personally seen the results of thermage, and they are just as impressive as a face lift, it you have mild to moderate sagging. Therefore, I looked up the research on the benefits, side effects and techniques used. I was interested to see how on earth you could get results like that without surgery! It really does appear to increase the collagen content of skin as well as tightening it up. The changes are gradual and take some weeks to appear after treatment. It is better to have two treatments a few months apart.
Be warned - Thermage can hurt! Its a technique where the lower layers of your skin are heated up significantly. This causes a healing reaction to set in, which is what cures the sags and wrinkles.

"Sagging skin on the face and sagging necks are quite common complaints from people as they get older. Tightening loose skin can be difficult without cosmetic surgery.
We wanted to check the effectiveness and side effects for a heat treatment (thermage) machine when used for treating loose skin in the cheek neck area. 50 people with Fitzpatrick skin types 1 to 4 [pale to olive] with mild or moderately loose facial skin or saggy necks had one thermage treatment with a Thermacool device. Each person had topical anesthetic cream applied for an hour beforehand.
There was significant improvement in most of the people treated with thermage. Side effects were temporary bruising and swelling. There were no scarring or pigmentation problems, and the benefits of thermage were a safe and effective skin tightening of the face and neck which was still effective 6 months after a single treatment. The longevity of clinical results has yet to be determined."
It should be noted that increased results for this kind of non surgical face lift are seen if you have more than one thermage treatment, especially with regard to nasolabial folds (nose to mouth furrows).

This treatment should be on your To Do list. Its on mine. As well as the anaestheic cream though, I would take a standard painkiller tablet before I went for treatment.
