Deep Plane face lift
Do you want maximum results from your facelift, while avoiding the stretched appearance superficial lifts can cause?
The Deep Plane facelift is an excellent technique because it puts less tension on the facial skin itself. The results are therefore quite natural looking as well as spectacular - avoiding the overly tightened look you might get with more superficial face lifts involving the skin only.
Corrects nose to mouth lines and flatten cheekbones too
As well as correcting a sagging jawline, the deep plane facelift - which is a modification of the standard facelift, also corrects aging in the midface region such as flattened cheekbones (lack of roundedness) caused by the loss of youthful fat under the skin, and fixes nose to mouth lines by moving the tissue in the mid facial region and the cheekbones.Because this involves some deeper incisions into the face, it is a better technique to use for smokers. The skin and tissue lifted is thicker and so there is less interruption to the blood supply to the area.
During a deep plane face lift the facial muscles are lifted and repositioned along with the fatty layer above them, then these are secured into a newer more youthful appearance. Because the underlying tissue is moved as well, this avoids the tight appearance you can get if you just move the top layer of skin and leave the underlying tissues to pull against it.
Because more of the underlying face is repositioned, the benefits of a deep plane face lift can be quite dramatic, involving improvements to the jawline and nasolobial folds - although of course there will be a corresponding increase in the amount of bruising and swelling. It is more suited to older patients and people with severe facial sagging.

Although the above proceedures sound quite drastic, the best surgical results I've seen are from deep plane facelifts.
